Effective January 1, 2012, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) provides the public right of access to information held by hospitals while protecting the privacy of individuals whose personal information is held in the hospital’s custody or control. Accessible information under FIPPA includes most general records and records containing your own personal information but does not include personal health information protected by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
Please note that only records created or which came into the custody or control of hospitals on or after January 1, 2007, are subject to FIPPA. Records requested may also be subject, all or in part, to exemptions and exclusions as set out in FIPPA. Therefore, some or all of the record information requested may be withheld from the public.

The Excellent Care for All Act, which received royal assent in June 2010, requires hospitals to develop an annual Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for the following fiscal year and make it available to the public. The QIP provides the means for hospitals to communicate to their public, patients, and staff that they are committed to accountability and transparency, and focused on creating a positive patient experience and delivering high quality health care.

However the Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation has a Voluntary Parking Meter situated in the lobby. Please support the Foundation with your loose change.

General visiting hours are daily from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm |
Only two visitors per patient will be permitted.
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- These visiting guidelines are intended to provide our patients the time that they need to heal and to help us reduce the risk of infection.
- The main entrance will be locked between the hours of 10:00p.m. and 7:00a.m.
- It is important to wash your hands before and after visiting. Please use the hand sanitizer solution provided in patient rooms and main entrances.
